This medicine is a combination of 2 medicines used to treat open-angle glaucoma and increased pressure in the eye. It contains a selective alpha-2 adrenergic receptor agonist (brimonidine) and a beta-blocker (timolol). This medicine may be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.

CAUTIONS: DO NOT USE THIS MEDICINE if you have had an allergic reaction to it or are allergic to any ingredient in this product. If you have a history of any severe allergic reaction, talk with your doctor. You may be at risk for an even more severe allergic reaction if you come into contact with the substance that caused your allergy. Some medicines used to treat severe allergies may also not work as well while you are using this medicine. LABORATORY AND/OR MEDICAL TESTS such as eye exams or eye pressure measurements may be done to monitor your progress or to check for side effects. Keep all doctor and laboratory appointments while you are taking this medicine. BEFORE YOU HAVE ANY MEDICAL OR DENTAL TREATMENTS, emergency care, or surgery, tell the doctor or dentist that you are using this medicine. THIS MEDICINE MAY CAUSE DIZZINESS, light-headedness, or fainting; alcohol, hot weather, exercise, or fever may increase these effects. To prevent them, sit up or stand slowly, especially in the morning. Sit or lie down at the first sign of any of these effects. THIS MEDICINE MAY CAUSE DROWSINESS, dizziness, or blurred vision. Do not drive, operate machinery, or do anything else that could be dangerous until you know how you react to this medicine. Using this medicine alone, with other medicines, or with alcohol may lessen your ability to drive or to perform other potentially dangerous tasks. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE YOU DRINK ALCOHOL or use medicines that may cause drowsiness (eg, sleep aids, muscle relaxers) while you are using this medicine; it may add to their effects. Ask your pharmacist if you have questions about which medicines may cause drowsiness. CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR if you have an eye injury or infection, or if you will be having eye surgery. BEFORE YOU BEGIN TAKING ANY NEW MEDICINE, either prescription or over-the-counter, check with your doctor or pharmacist. CAUTION IS ADVISED WHEN USING THIS MEDICINE IN CHILDREN because they may be more sensitive to the effects of this medicine, especially drowsiness. FOR WOMEN: IF YOU BECOME PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED IN BREAST MILK. DO NOT BREAST-FEED while taking this medicine. FOR PATIENTS WITH DIABETES: this medicine may hide signs of low blood sugar such as fast heartbeat. Be sure to watch for other signs of low blood sugar. Other signs of low blood sugar include headache, chills, sweating, tremor, increased hunger, changes in vision, nervousness, weakness, dizziness, drowsiness, or fainting. Check blood sugar levels closely. Ask your doctor before you change the dose of your diabetes medicine.
