The recommended dose of Geodon for the treatment of schizophrenia is 20 mg to 80 mg Geodon capsules once daily, and 40 mg to 80 mg Geodon capsules once daily for the treatment of bipolar disorder in patients age 10 and older. This drug may cause you to become overheated more easily. Use caution when you exercise strenuously or are outside in hot weather, and drink plenty of water while using this drug in order to stay hydrated.

Before using this drug, tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Tell your doctor if you have or have had any of the following conditions before using this drug: liver disease, blood or bone marrow problems, diabetes, high cholesterol, heart rhythm problems or any heart or blood vessel problems, or a history of seizures, or breast cancer. Do not let anyone else use your medication.
