CAUTIONS: DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE if you have had an allergic reaction to it or if you are allergic to any ingredient in this product. DO NOT EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED DOSE, change your dose, or stop taking this medicine without checking with your doctor. LABORATORY AND/OR MEDICAL TESTS, including electrocardiogram (ECG), complete blood cell counts, pulse and blood pressure, lung function, liver function, and eye exams, may be performed to monitor your progress or to check for side effects. Keep all doctor and laboratory appointments while you are taking this medicine. THIS MEDICINE MAY AFFECT CERTAIN LAB TEST RESULTS, including peripheral blood lymphocyte counts. Make sure laboratory personnel and your doctors know you use this medicine. BEFORE YOU HAVE ANY MEDICAL OR DENTAL TREATMENTS, emergency care, or surgery, tell the doctor or dentist that you are using this medicine. DO NOT DRIVE or perform other possibly unsafe tasks during the first day of treatment until you know how you react to this medicine. SLOW HEARTBEAT MAY OCCUR AFTER YOU START THIS MEDICINE, especially after your first dose. Your health care provider will watch you for symptoms of slow heartbeat for at least 6 hours after your first dose. Symptoms can happen up to 24 hours after you take your first dose of this medicine. If you experience slow heartbeat, your heart rate will usually return to normal within 1 month after you start this medicine. Tell your doctor right away if you experience chest pain, dizziness, seizures, slow or irregular heartbeat, or unusual tiredness. THIS MEDICINE MAY LOWER THE ABILITY OF YOUR BODY TO FIGHT INFECTION while you take it and for up to 2 months after you stop taking it. Avoid contact with people who have colds or infections. Tell your doctor if you notice signs of infection like fever, sore throat, rash, or chills. If you have not had chickenpox, shingles, or measles, avoid contact with anyone who does. CASES OF A CERTAIN TYPE OF BLOOD CANCER (LYMPHOMA) have occurred in patients taking this medicine. It is not known if these cases were related to this medicine. Contact your doctor with any questions or concerns. BEFORE YOU BEGIN TAKING ANY NEW MEDICINE, either prescription or over-the-counter, check with your doctor or pharmacist. DO NOT RECEIVE A LIVE VACCINE (eg, measles, mumps) while you are taking this medicine and for up to 2 months after you stop taking it. Talk with your doctor before you receive any vaccine. FOR WOMEN: Women who may become pregnant should use an effective form of birth control while they take this medicine and for 2 months after they stop taking this medicine. If you have questions about effective birth control, talk with your doctor. THIS MEDICINE MAY CAUSE HARM to the human fetus. DO NOT BECOME PREGNANT while you are using it or for 2 months after you stop using it. IF YOU THINK YOU MAY BE PREGNANT, contact your doctor. You will need to discuss the benefits and risks of using this medicine while you are pregnant. IT IS NOT KNOWN IF THIS MEDICINE IS FOUND in breast milk. DO NOT BREAST-FEED while taking this medicine.
