Klonopin pills are used to treat epilepsy and different types of seizures, including petit mal seizures, akinetic seizures and myoclonic seizures. It is also effective at treating children with epilepsy. Klonopin is also prescribed to treat panic disorder.

Klonopin is available as a scored or unscored tablet, inscribed with a K, in .5, 1, and 2 mg increments. In ascending dosage order, the colors are orange (.5mg), blue (1mg), and white (2). Typical quantities are in multiples of thirty up to 120 Klonopin pills, depending on which Klonopin uses are targeted. For those taking Klonopin to control petit mal seizures, initial dosage is no more than 1.5 mg daily, divided among three doses; it can be increased every three days until the optimum dosage is reached (but not to exceed 20mg/day). The Klonopin price is conditional on the size of the dosage and the quantity prescribed.

Pregnancy: Klonopin has been known to cause birth defects in unborn children; therefore, patients should inform their physicians if they are pregnant, are planning a pregnancy, or become pregnant. While Klonopin may be prescribed during pregnancy if it is clearly needed, the impact of both seizures and the medication on the fetus need to be weighed. Do not breastfeed your child if you are taking this medication.

Interactions: Tell you doctor if you are taking sleep medications, antihistamines, muscle relaxants, codeine and other narcotic pain relievers, medications containing sodium oxybate, alcohol, other benzodiazepines, antibiotics, or anxiety medications.

Medical Conditions: Before taking any Klonopin medication, provide your doctor with a complete medical history. Be sure to include information as to whether you are being treated for kidney disease, bipolar disorder, depression, glaucoma, or lung disease.
