CAUTIONS: DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE if you have had an allergic reaction to it or if you are allergic to any ingredient in this product. DO NOT EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED DOSE or use this medicine for longer than prescribed without checking with your doctor. LABORATORY AND/OR MEDICAL TESTS, including tuberculosis (TB) tests, may be performed to monitor your progress or to check for side effects. Keep all doctor and laboratory appointments while you are using this medicine. BEFORE YOU HAVE ANY MEDICAL OR DENTAL TREATMENTS, emergency care, or surgery, tell the doctor or dentist that you are using this medicine. PATIENTS SHOULD RECEIVE A TB SKIN TEST BEFORE USING THIS MEDICINE. Patients who test positive for TB should begin treatment for TB before starting this medicine. All patients should also be monitored for signs of TB while using this medicine even if their TB test is negative. THIS MEDICINE MAY LOWER THE ABILITY OF YOUR BODY TO FIGHT INFECTION and increase your risk of infections. Serious infections, including TB infections, fungal infections, and other types of infections, have occurred in patients using this medicine. Avoid contact with people who have colds or infections. Contact your doctor immediately if you develop signs of TB or any other type of infection (eg, cough; muscle aches; unexplained weight loss; fever, sweats, chills, or persistent sore throat; shortness of breath; unusual tiredness; warm, red, or painful skin or sores on your body; increased or painful urination; diarrhea or stomach pain; blood in phlegm). THIS MEDICINE MAY INCREASE THE RISK of developing certain types of cancer. Discuss any questions or concerns with your doctor. BEFORE YOU BEGIN TAKING ANY NEW MEDICINE, either prescription or over-the-counter, check with your doctor or pharmacist. Do not receive a live vaccine (eg, measles, mumps) while you are taking this medicine. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE YOU OR A MEMBER OF YOUR HOUSEHOLD receives any vaccine while you are taking this medicine. Do not receive a Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) vaccine for 1 year before, during, or 1 year after treatment with this medicine. FOR WOMEN: IF YOU BECOME PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED in breast milk. IF YOU ARE OR WILL BE BREAST-FEEDING while you are using this medicine, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.
